Every coffee is named after the cooperative that grew it, and every coffee gets its own info card. On it you will find the GPS coordinates, the story of the farm and what the farmers’ work means for the flavour. With the colours of the flavour wheel you recognise the flavour of your favourite coffee.
We roast every bean so lightly and so fresh that you taste the place where it grew. Fully transparent about the origin and the supply chain, so you know exactly what you are drinking.
We buy straight from farmers, cup their harvests and invest in projects that improve quality at the farm.
No burnt bitterness. Just the flavours the bean brings itself, from strawberry and peach to praline and butterscotch.
Roasted in Utrecht, shipped on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. As fresh as coffee gets.

At Keen we try to do the right things, socially and sustainably. Wherever we can, we work with long-term personal trading relationships and always pay at least 150% of the market price. Equality is always the starting point and everyone is free to be themselves.
Our Loring roast uses a fraction of the energy of a classic drum roaster. Less impact on the planet, the same freshness in the bag.
We take our partners seriously, pay them fair prices and support them with advice for the best flavour and quality.
Everyone at Keen is free to be themselves and everyone is welcome. We love diversity and help people who can use it.
A Loring roasts with hot air, which lets us steer every second of the roast profile precisely. That way we roast light and balanced, and give the coffee all the room to show itself. You taste the natural sweetness, clarity and layers of the bean – and discover how origin, altitude and processing shape the flavour together.
Every lot gets its own roast profile, tuned to what the bean brings itself. A washed Kenyan asks for something different than a natural from Brazil.
No smoky taste, no sooty edges. What is left are cleaner, livelier flavours in the cup. You taste all the flavours of the coffee, not of the roaster.
